thanks for reporting the issue. The problem has been fixed 2,5 years ago: https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-support/fr/summit/messages/gcompris/gcompris_qt.po?r1=1643763&r2=1643824

Can you check which GCompris version you are using and update it?

If your OS does not provide an up-to-date version, we provide one executable: https://gcompris.net/downloads-fr.html#linux that should work.
