Sentry Crash Report:

Description Corey Smolik 2025-09-11 12:46:58 UTC
SUMMARY
Elisa playback does not play through speakers after being unpaused, notably after screen has been off. I've seen this reported as "resolved fixed" or related to past "fixed" bugs, but continues to be a persistent problem for me.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Play audio file on Elisa
2. Allow screen to lock.
3. Pause from keyboard (F9)
4. Possibly wait, though I've had it happen after 20 seconds
5. Play from keyboard (F9). This works successfully (bug free) on other audio players.
6. Playback can be observed (timer advances), but no sound comes from speakers.
7. To get sound back, you can use F8 (rewind) or log in and click at any part of playback slider.

OBSERVED RESULT
demonstrated in Step 6.

EXPECTED RESULT
Step 6, but with sound.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Fedora 42 (KDE spin)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4 (current version, but has been happening in the months I've been using Elisa)
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Intel I3 processor, HP laptop. Also happens on a custom desktop, Intel i9 processor, MSI Z690 Pro DDR5 motherboard.
