The program crashes while trying to enter new transactions.  The older versions of the program were rock solid; this version is extremely unstable!  It is nearly unusable.

Well, that's a very unspecific report. Can you provide a backtrace of the crash? Which operating system version are you using? Can you provide the information shown in KMyMoney under Help/About KMyMoney/Components? Thank you.
