Description John 2025-09-10 02:02:48 UTC
SUMMARY
Using a wireless mouse, after a temporary disconnection, it becomes only able to interact with one application or the desktop. Clicking on other windows does not work. If I alt+tab to a different window, when I click, it seems to send clicks to the first window even when it is in the background.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a wireless mouse & open multiple windows.
2. Temporarily disconnect the mouse by unplugging the receiver/turning it off for a few seconds.
3. Reconnect the mouse.

OBSERVED RESULT
I can only interact with one window, or the desktop and no windows, with the mouse.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to click on other windows to switch to them and interact with the programs in those windows with a mouse.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 42

Did this eventually stop happening? Or can you still reproduce it exactly as originally described?

I just tried and I cannot reproduce it again. I guess it fixed itself, sorry for wasting your time lol.
