I've also noticed, that the popup with tabs closes itself, when trying to move the cursor over it, in order to choose the desired drop target. Yeah, we could improve the UX here by showing the preview tooltip rather than the group dialog. |
Created attachment 184709 [details] Screenshot STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1a. Open Dolphin 1b. Open Dolphin twice 2. Drag a file from Dolphin and move the cursor over Dolphin's icon in the Icons-Only-Taskmanager OBSERVED RESULT 1a. No preview is shown 1b. A popup is shown with the titles of the two Dolphin windows only The dragged file preview covers the underlying tabs, so that it's hard to impossible to read the text. (In the screenshot the dragged file preview is invisible though.) EXPECTED RESULT In both cases: A preview is displayed as when moving the cursor over the icon, while not dragging a file. This would resolve the issue of covering the titles and also a preview helps to choose the correct drop target.
