Hi, I can replicate this in X11. I don't use the Cube effect normally, but wanted to inspect it for development on another addon. It looks like a distinction may need to be made in the kdeplasma-addons Kwin CMakeLists for X11 and Wayland build paths. I'll see what I can do! A possibly relevant merge request was started @ https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kdeplasma-addons/-/merge_requests/930 I opened a branch to target both kwin and kwin-x11, but with the kwin-x11 session being shuttered next year, I highly doubt it will be accepted upstream.
