Clip monitor audio timeline (the name "project monitor" is not correct).

SUMMARY

Neither audio thumbnail (clip monitor and timeline) reflects applied effects, such as volume, compression, etc.  This makes it very difficult to match audio levels between clips or between different sections of one clip.

Example: different speakers' voices are different in volume, and the mic used is highly directional such that if it's not placed face on to the speaker's mouth the volume drops off sharply.  I want to match the volume level between the speakers, which is very difficult to do by ear or by the instantaneous response of the mixer (or even the delayed decay).

In the attached example, the volume for the first part of the clip was low, then after the speaker adjusted the position of the mic, the volume for the second part was much higher.  I wanted to use the volume control to equalize the volume but have no available display for me to visualize what's happening.

This is similar to bug 441452 but applies to a different UI component.  If they are in fact the same underlying issue please close this in favor of that issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a clip containing audio, with the audio thumbnail displayed
2. Add the volume effect
3. Raise or lower the volume

OBSERVED RESULT

The volume monitor displays do not change

EXPECTED RESULT

The volume monitor displays reflect changes imposed by any audio effects
