Description Soenke Dibbern 2025-09-01 13:02:13 UTC
I would like to have an option to easily see the current calendar week.

This could be achieved eg by showing it besides the time (may be necessary to choose a smaller type face for the time), or by showing it in the hover message, which currently shows the date in long format.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu Linux 24.04.3 LTS (Noble Numbat)
plasmashell Version: 5.27.12
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Qt Version 5.15.13
Kernel Version: 6.14.0
Window system: xcb

I'll pass this along for consideration

I don't see this specifically in the Qt time date code we use
https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/qml-qtqml-qt.html#formatDateTime-method

But there may be a way to get the week number anyway

While this is theoretically something the Digital Clock widget could do, it feels like a self-contained enough thing that a 3rd-party widget might fulfill the desire better.
