Sentry Crash Report:

Description Lee 2025-08-30 22:03:45 UTC
SUMMARY
Attempting to drag files and folders to the desktop doesn't show the option to move/copy/link when dragging them directly to the desktop. This does work for folders directly in dolphin, but not for the desktop itself. You can also hold "shift" while over the desktop to forcefully move it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open dolphin
2. Find a file or folder you would like to move to the desktop
3. Drag it away from dolphin and drop it onto the desktop

OBSERVED RESULT
The file/folder has a "+" sign next to it, but dropping it does nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dropping it should have given an option to move, copy, and link (among a few other options) to the desktop.

It also may be of note that it might be a plasma workspace/plasmashell issue as well. I tried dragging some apps to the desktop and had similar issues to this.
