DESCRIPTION
I want this in order to be able to see my wallpaper with nothing in front of it, watch some video players that lack that function, and being able to take screenshots without cursor showing without having to set it to not capture cursor because I prefer to capture it 90% of the time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Look for a setting that makes the cursor disappear after a set amount of seconds, ideally 5 seconds.

OBSERVED RESULT
There's no such option, at least not in the Mouse, Touchpad, Colors and Themes > Cursors, and Animations.

EXPECTED RESULT
Being able to find and enable such option.

Go to Desktop effects and enable Hide Cursor. Does that solve the issue? Reopen the issue if it doesn't.

Issue on Plasma 6.4.4

I had to reboot to have it working, which seems like a bug.
Also, why is this under Desktop effects if it also works over apps? I didn't even consider it being there because of the name.

It's a place for various effects in Plasma. Effects are slowly being moved from that kcm to others where they're more suited.

It works on my PC without rebooting, not sure what's wrong there. We can keep it opened. You can modify the issue title to match the bug so it's not confusing.

Yeah, it's in Window Management > Desktop Effects > Hide Cursor. Not a great place for it, but there's not much we can do about it right now. Long-term, we do plan to move everything in there to more relevant places.

Please open a new bug report to report a new issue.
