STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Importing an mlt file into the library
2. adding the mlt file to the project bin
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
crash

EXPECTED RESULT
adding the file to the project bin

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma:  Ubuntu Studio 24.04
KDE Plasma Version: : 5.27.12
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Qt Version:  5.15.13

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Works perfectly fine on the  25.07.70 Kdenlive Version

Thanks for the report. I need more information as I cannot reproduce. How did you generate the .mlt file ? Could you attach a sample file here ? Or can you provide a backtrace ?

   I just added a random video with some current effects stack to the
   library. That part worked just fine. But when I tried to use it
   afterwards in kdenlive 25.11.70 (appimage), it just crashed. It worked
   with the last stable version though. Unfortunately I have erased the
   mlt file since. I will try again and keep you updated.

   I just tried again the exact same process and this time I had no
   issue. I suppose the report can be closed, though I don't have a clue
   what happened in the firts time.
