Activities are a great feature and I'm fond that they are still around (after all the rumors of discontinuing/removing them). One feature I can think of and is currently missing is restricting switching to activity based on a set of rules (e.g. time of day).

I have set up two activities on my computer; one work related, and one related to free time and gaming. When I work from home, I have tendency to turn on steam/some other stuff not related to my work and easily get distracted. Now it's as easy as switching the activity (which is at least something compared to having no activities at all), but it would be great to have something that would make the switch harder when it makes sense (e.g. during work hours).

TIA

Sounds too niche. The feature isn't hard, it's mostly that it complicates the UI.
Some of this is scriptable outside of Plasma if you wanted to write your own system.
