Please reset the Curves effect and check whether this brings back the clip in the project monitor.
Then move the horizontal divider to make the effect stack bigger so that the curves graph is displayed completely. In order to control the intensity of the effect before curves you need to just move the bottom left-hand point of the curve up (and just up and not right and up).

using a Windows "Scale and layout" setting (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=508258) - temporarily returned the lower node. But it seems that the situation does not change. at v25.08.0 the problem is gone.
