Tested in digiKam-8.8.0-20250812T163922-Qt6-Win64.exe
I store the albums on a network drive. The 'Open in File Manager' function for albums and files does not work in this version. It works well in digiKam 8.7
When 'Open in File Manager' is activated, the file manager opens but does not navigate to the album/file location.

We're currently working on Bug 503370 while trying to resolve a user issue with "=" or "+" characters in the file path.
Please note that digiKam-8.8.0 is a pre-release version, and we need to be able to test things in public testing. You can't always expect every snapshot to behave as expected.
