Report is pretty simple, and an example of a screenshot is attached. If you think this is due to something with the way the package is compiled, please help me figure this out. The build log is available here:

Cannot reproduce on
Gwenview: 25.08.0
KDE Frameworks: 6.17.0
Fedora 42

So this is probably NixOS related. Do you have access to the newer 25.08 version?

Hey so thanks for the reply and for sorry for my late reply. Indeed Nixpkgs has updated all KDE packages etc. to 25.08.0 here:

https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/commit/ccc31df75e0d5dbac91c20bbd264cc8610d1fc59

And with it, I still don't see an SVG thumbnail. Maybe it is relevant, I'm seeing this in the terminal when opening an SVG file:

```
org.kde.kdegraphics.gwenview.lib: Unresolved raw mime type  "image/x-samsung-srw"
```

Thanks for checking, I had the small hope that it got fixed right away..

Probably not, this is a pretty standard debuginfo.

The problem is that this seems to be a NixOS-exclusive issue. Most people here don't run it, so we cannot reproduce the bug, which is important for testing and fixing it.
As NixOS is a rather arcane distro (no offense), could it be that this is a bug from downstream, i.e. NixOS doing something wrong?

I don't wanna shift the blame to NixOS, but am unsure on how to proceed here. Probably we would just leave this report open as REPORTED or NEEDSINFO WORKSFORME/DOWNSTREAM and wait, if it disappears by itself or others chime in with similar problems.

What do you think?

OK I see. I might ask for help from the NixOS forums. In anycase, is there no way I can debug this? I won't mind recompiling this package with debug info, or add debug prints or whatever - I just wish to get a bit of help for this.

I am not a Gwenview dev, so I cannot really help you there.
