Also tried with 25.04.3 also broken. Same error message when trying to search for a podcast. App is broken and obviously no one uses this software, another useless broken kde app. I am uninstalling. Go ahead and close this bug report if you want. The error you are seeing is due to the podcastindex.org server not processing your request. This occurs once in a while, usually when their server is down (e.g. for maintenance). As far as I know, the server has not been down for more than a few hours, so retrying a bit later should just work. Another possibility is that the connection has been refused/blocked temporarily if the server is getting hammered with requests. Again, I've not heard any reports about it being down for anyone for more than a few hours max. I checked it myself less than an hour after receiving your bug report, and I had no issue using the discover functionality on my side. But, in any case, this error has *nothing* to do with the app itself. The app is contacting an external, third-party server. If that server cannot be contacted for whatever reason, there is literally nothing the app can do. It's like complaining that a third-party youtube app sucks because it didn't work when the youtube servers were down. |
