This seems like it would be a quality of life improvement Agreed, I'd like this. I wouldn't categorise it as a bug, but a feature request. We wouldn't do this for just volume OSDs, but rather for all of them. *** Bug 478696 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** One vital use-case for this from the bug merged into this is also for changing presentation options (Meta+P). In unfortunate cases it may be that e.g. a beamer was previously selected as the primary output source (and thus gets the cursor upon connection) whilst it might not show anything (environment too bright, beamer still warming up etc). This can also happen with external monitors or TVs if they have a different input selected. |
