Hi KMyMoney team,

First of all, I want to say you've done an amazing job building such a powerful finance tool. I'm not a developer—just a small business owner trying to manage personal and business finances better. I asked ChatGPT to help me draft this request, and I hope it represents a common use case that many small business owners like me face.

 Feature Description:

I'd love to see support for a simple loan structure that is quite common in India and many developing countries:

Interest-only monthly payments for a fixed period

Balloon payment of the entire principal at the end of the term

📌 Why This Matters:

Currently, KMyMoney assumes every loan is paid with a portion of both principal + interest in each installment (like EMI-based loans). But in real-life scenarios, especially with informal or business loans, many people:

    Take a loan (e.g., ₹1,50,000)

Pay only monthly interest (e.g., ₹3,000/month)

Repay the full principal (₹1,50,000) later in one shot when they have cash

There’s no direct way in KMyMoney to model such a loan without faking the data or manually tracking balloon repayment and missed interest payments.
✅ Requested Features:

Add an option to set a loan as “interest-only”

    Ability to input:

        Loan amount

        Monthly interest payment

        Balloon payment date

        Optional missed payment tracking

Reflect interest payments in reports and ledgers

Dashboard widget: "Total Outstanding Balloon Principal"

Again, thank you for your work. Adding this kind of feature would make KMyMoney even more accessible and useful for non-technical users like me. 🙏

Best regards,
Dhilip Bobba
