I had maybe missed discussion 506311 and can confirm as well that this only happens on X11, so marking this as a duplicate of 506311 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 506311 *** |
Created attachment 183251 [details] Comparison of affected functionality between KDE Plasma 6.3.0 and 6.4.2 SUMMARY After upgrading two machines to Plasma 6.4.2, the ability to move windows to certain activities seems to be broken. Instead of being shown in the selected activity, the window is displayed in all activities. This only affects kwin and the application window. Application entry in the task manager is moved to correct activity, and the activity can be switched to just as before Not sure if it is the cause or the effect of this issue, but the Window Rules property for Activities seems to have disappeared, so this behaviour can't be controlled by creating a window rule. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add one or more activities 2. Open one or more applications 3. Using task manager, right click on an application and Show in Activities > Another activity or 1. Open Window Rules and add a new rule 2. Add new property 3. Search for "activities" OBSERVED RESULT 1. Application window remains in all activities, task manager entry disappears and appears in the selected activity 2. No "Activities" property can be found when creating the window rule EXPECTED RESULT 1. Application window should disappear from other activities and appear only in the selected activity 2. A property named "Activities" should appear and user should be able to select from list of Activities or "All activities" SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon User Edition KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.1.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This functionality seems to be still working on KDE Plasma 6.3.0 (tested in virtual machine)
