SUMMARY
I am using dolphin as my file explorer.
I have downgraded my kio-extras to 24.12.3-1 to get thumbnails working again.
I did not test 25.03.80, 25.03.90, (25.04.0 not sure if I tested this one but doubt)
I tested 25.04.1 and it doesnt work with that one nor anything after.
Some thumbnails with the latest version but by far not all of them, let alone folder thumbnails previewing images / video files in folders.
Video previews do not exist in the latest version.
Nothing does it's just borked and not taken care of whatsoever since march.
Yes this is X11 only.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  kio extras > 25.04.1
2. x11 duh

OBSERVED RESULT
not having thumbnails for images/videos etcetc

EXPECTED RESULT
to have thumbnails

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux 6.15.3-arch1-1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Even with downgraded kio-extras it's a much better experience than with non working thumbnails so .. fix please?
happy to provide whatever info is needed if steps to follow are given because I have no Idea how to debug dolphin to the point where it outputs what's wrong.

Same here, I have no thumbnails anymore.
It is so uncomfortable.

same 25.04.0 as well although wayland doesnt make them either

version 24.12.3 seems to work but any other version breaks the preview for thumbnailes ..... 7 months and no fix? seriously?
