Description Jack 2025-06-28 01:02:22 UTC
SUMMARY
I run a 3-screen setup: 2 monitors, and 1 Wacom Cintiq tablet. When the computer loads up, everything is functioning as normal. When the computer sleeps (or locks) and wakes, the 2 monitors display properly, but the Wacom display states there is no signal (despite all three displays still being recognized and enabled in display configuration). All hardware is working properly on launch, is not altered while in use, and is functioning correctly in general (as demonstrated when this issue does not show up in other OS's, like Gnome).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start the computer (3 monitor setup, as above). All 3 displays, including the Cintiq tablet, are recognized and have signals.
2. Put the computer to sleep, and wake the computer
3. Now, the 2 standard monitors will display properly, but the Wacom Cintiq tablet will state there is no signal. Display configurations shows that all three screens (including the Wacom display) are all recognized and enabled. Hardware is unchanged.
4. Logging out/in results in a black screen on the previously working monitors (still no signal on the Cintiq). The only way to fix the issue is to restart the computer.

OBSERVED RESULT
The 2 standard monitors will display properly, but the Wacom Cintiq tablet will state there is no signal. Display Configurations shows that all three screens (including the Wacom display) are all recognized and enabled. Hardware is unchanged. If attempting to log out/in, a black screen appears on the previously working monitors (still no signal on the Cintiq).

EXPECTED RESULT
All 3 displays, including the Wacom display, should be recognized, enabled, and receive signals properly.

Moving to kwin, which handles displays

Please attach the output of drm_info, once for when the displays are all enabled and working, and once for when the tablet doesn't turn on.
