Taken screenshot

SUMMARY
After the update to Plasma 6.4 and the Spectacle overhaul, I'm actually no longer able to make meaningful screenshots. The current windows are squashed (hard to explain, see screenshots) and overlap the actual content.

This happens on all three connected screens simultaneously.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Spectacle by pressing the screenshot key (PrntScrn or so, the default)

OBSERVED RESULT
The current screens are weirdly squashed, it's impossible to make meaningful screenshots.
Furthermore, the displayed screen does not match the actual screenshot, as seen on the photo of my screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to create a normal screenshot and select a proper region, even if I'm using a multi-monitor setup.

Can you post a screenshot of the Display Configuration system settings page?
Are you setting a custom font DPI rather than using the normal scaling method from Display Configuration?
Comment 3 Jasmin 2025-06-24 15:45:52 UTC
No custom font DPI in place. The refresh rate is a bit weird, I remember it being 60hz yesterday.
What's also weird is: today it's not happening. I can easily take a screenshot, which, uh, leaves me actually confused here ^^
