I had 2 brightness-bars(controls) in the taskbar, one for laptop and one for 4K screen.
Now, after a sleep/wakeup cycle, this is reduced to 'internal screen' only, the other control is gone

in systemsettings, this is as follows:
built-in: has a brightness slider, set to 25%
hp-screen: [x] control hardware brightness with DDC/CI
