SUMMARY
With an X11 session, putting my laptop to sleep, either by:
- closing the lid; or
- using the Sleep button in the main menu
and waking the laptop up again works, returning me to the lock screen.

However, in a Wayland session, using both techniques, the laptop doesn't wake up to the lock screen. Instead, it does a completely fresh reboot.

Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we didn't manage to get to it yet. And also thanks for the journal log; that was helpful. This looks weird:

Are you having any other weird, random-seeming issues with involve dbus errors in the log?

Does it happen in a new clean user account on the same machine?
