Video showcasing the bug, which shows adding a image file, a video file and later showing drag and drop.
Sorry for the low quality video.
Thank you for reporting. Please do a screencast of the first 10 seconds again with a better resolution so we can see folder and file name. Created attachment 182601 [details]
first 10 seconds of the first clip with better quality
Here's the video of the first 10 seconds with better quality from the first clip.
Mmh. Difficult to say what’s going on here. Would it be possible to upload here one of that png files which causes this freeze? Created attachment 182612 [details]
png file used in the first crash
Here's the file.
I don't think it's because of the file being corrupted or something that's causing the crash since it applies to all type of files.
Yes, the png loads fine. It must be something with access rights, I guess. Are the files open in another application while you load it into Kdenlive? Or is the application you made the screenshots from still open while you load it into Kdenlive? Windows is blocking files as long as the application is open. No, the files are not open in another application and the application that made the screenshots (which is Roblox, but the screenshot it took was years ago) are not open. Tried to run Kdenlive as admin but the crash still occurs. There is something which blocks Kdenlive and the underlaying Qt framework. Please update your graphic card driver. Try again If it still happens download the standalone version from here https://kdenlive.org/download/ and follow this instruction: https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/getting_started/installation.html#kdenlive-on-windows Try again (In reply to emohr from comment #8) > There is something which blocks Kdenlive and the underlaying Qt framework. > > Please update your graphic card driver. > Try again > > If it still happens download the standalone version from here > https://kdenlive.org/download/ and follow this instruction: > https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/getting_started/installation.html#kdenlive-on- > windows > Try again I tested on the standalone version and the crash doesnt occur. Thanks for helping! Thank you for the feedback. That means your installed version contains old files. Please do the following: - Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\kdenlive - Download the install version from https://kdenlive.org/download/ - Install Kdenlive again - Try again (In reply to emohr from comment #10) > Thank you for the feedback. I tested again on the install version and the crash no longer happens. Thanks for helping! Thank you for your feedback. Glad to here it works. I close this bug. If it still appears in the latest version, please feel free to re-open it and update the affected version number. |
