Description dave.mackins 2025-06-20 08:59:55 UTC
SUMMARY

When producing multiple videos from the job queue, they all take the subtitles from the primary (currently rendering) video, instead of the subtitles provided.

I have two instances of Kdenlive open, one with all my clips and subtitles (main), and the other which is used to paste clips from the main video

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create and begin rendering video 1
2. Create videos 2, 3 and 4 and add them to the job queue. None of these jobs are started yet
3. Start rendering videos 2, 3 and 4 in short succession.

OBSERVED RESULT

The subtitles on the rendered video contain the text from video 1 only, despite being given different text in videos 2, 3 and 4.

EXPECTED RESULT
Correct subtitles on the video as provided.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: I use GNOME, Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
KDE Plasma Version: I use GNOME, Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If I start rendering each video before adding another to the job queue, the subtitles apply correctly.

Thanks for your report. I cannot reproduce the issue. I tested by rendering different zones in a project. Can you give more details about the step "Create videos 2, 3 and 4" ? Are you opening new project files ? Or using different timeline sequences ?
