Description talhaysfq 2025-06-19 09:03:58 UTC
After updating to Plasma 6.4, a welcome screen appears with a link to the new features. When I click the link, it tries to open Firefox specifically. If Firefox is not installed, it shows an error like "Firefox not found" instead of using my system default browser (LibreWolf in my case). OTHER APPLICATIONS CORRECTLY USE THE SYSTEM DEFAULT BROWSER.

Expected behavior:
The link should open in the system's default browser, not hardcoded to Firefox.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Update to Plasma 6.4
2. Launch the Plasma 6.4 new features thing(i dont know this app name)
3. Click on the "Read about the new features" link
4. Observe the error if Firefox is not installed

System:
- KDE Neon (specify version)
- Plasma 6.4
- Default browser: LibreWolf

Can you confirm what

'xdg-open http://kde.org' does
and
'kde-open http://kde.org' does
