SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create an event in KOrganizer.
2. Create another event in KOrganizer by accepting a meeting invitation received in Kmail.
(Note both events are created in the same KOrganizer Google Groupware calendar.)

OBSERVED RESULT
The event I create in KOrganizer is synchronised to Google Calendar. However, the event created by accepting a meeting invitation is NOT synchronised to Google Calendar.

EXPECTED RESULT
All events are synchronised into the Google Calendar.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon 6.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

(1) I think this used to work OK two or three years ago, but stopped working at some point since. Could it have come in with Version 6?

(2) If I edit the event, e.g. change the title, I get the message "You are not the organiser of this event. Editing it will bring your calendar out of with the organiser's calendar. Do you really want to edit it?" Is there some attribute of the event, that indicates that I'm not the organizer, which also prevents it being synchronised with Google Calendar?

I previously reported a similar bug, Bug 467746. I think this is the same, except in 467746 I may have been creating the KOrganiser event in a local calendar - as I now understand it, local calendars don't synchronise - rather than in a Google Groupware calendar. In this bug, events created in a Google Groupware calendar DO synchronise, unless they're created from a Kmail meeting invitation.

Question - are you a listed invitee of the event? I have had cases where I add an event to which I have not been invited (it is sent out with the organizer being the only participant) and it won't even push the event to the Google Calendar the local calendar is attached to. Is this similar or something different?

Hi Jack,

I think it most, if not all, cases I am.

Do I infer that other people aren't having this problem?

Thanks and regards

Hey All,

For me similar problem. If I create event via Korganizer it synchronizes without problem to Group-Office but I can't synchronize this event via DavX5 on Android or on iOS (ipad). I get HTTP 404 code. Like resource doesn't exist.

It works in opposite. Every event created in Group Office or via Android/iOS is synchronized without problem to Korganizer.
