I didn't have this issue a month or more before (so possibly it was introduced when I upgraded to Ubuntu 25.04 and Plasma 6.3.5) Also A bit annoying is that virtual desktops switching (alongside acvtivities switching) is NOT CONSISTENT. Sometimes it changes desktop (to last/previously used), sometimes NOT (probably when I switched activity by clicking notification first). Thanks for filing this bug report. Unfortunately there isn't enough information for us to try to figure out what's happening. I'm not able to reproduce this on git-master Please add information about your system as requested in the bug report template. Copy and paste this with the information into a new comment. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: I do have that situation on 2 different PCs. They have the same setup: Plasma 6.3.5 Frameworks 6.14.0 QT: 6.8.3 Wayland Maybe it depends on a set of running apps. On activity 2 there is Firefox and Spotify On the other Activity (1), there is Chrome, on Activity1 second desktop: Chrome, Idea. one PC is running Kubuntu 25.04, the other Ubuntu 25.04 (both get KDE from: https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu/ ) Thanks for the additional information, that's helpful. When you say you switch activities, and then click an app - I assume this is in a Task Manager (Icons only or icons and text) - is this correct? If so can you attach a screenshot of the settings screen for the task manager - the Behavior tab? To test, I assumed the task manager was used to focus an application, and set to - show applications on all desktops - do not show apps in other activities (let me know if your settings are different on your system) I'm not able to reproduce this on Kubuntu 25.04, if I follow what I think you're describing 1. Opened Firefox on Activity 1, Desktop 1 2. Opened Kate on Activity 2, Desktop 2 3. Switched back to Activity 1 - I am on Activity 1 Desktop 1 at this point, and I see Firefox Clicking the Firefox window or icon in the task manager does not switch to Activity 2 If I set the task manager to show only apps from the current desktop and activity, when I switch back to Activity 1, it's still on Desktop 2. When I say switch activities - I press Meta-A when I click the app - it's just a click inside app - to get a focus. I'll try to reproduce it in a way I can describe it, or record a video. A video would be really good. Thanks! I don't use Task Manager and all my apps are visible only on one desktop and one activity. Exception is Chrome, which has one window on desktop 1 (activity 1) and another window on desktop 2 (activity 1). ๐๐งน โ ๏ธ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
