My apologies, I forgot to mention I realize this can be done with editing the page manually. But it's not a great experience for newcomer users to need to do this, and the lack of an applications view support is from my understanding likely going to be a permanent state rather than a temporary one. So it would be nice if on first launch, the layout was adjusted accordingly out of the box. Indeed, though newcomers don't generally end up using distros without systemd (and if they do, it was a poor choice or recommendation since there will be tons of extra papercuts like this as a result of systemd becoming more and more relied on over time). |
