SUMMARY
Any attempt at importing/ clicking on files in the project bin

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open new project
2. right click on project bin and click "add clip or folder"
3. select a video, audio, or still image,

OBSERVED RESULT
clip will appear in project bin before promptly crashing. reopening the project file will not show the imported clip

IF PROJECT ALREADY HAS IMPORTED CLIPS AND TIMELINE
1. Click on asset in project bin
2. Crash
Editing and saving on timeline not hindered

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Kdenlive v 25.04.2
(Worth noting that pre latest update, app was stable)

Operating System: SteamOS 3.7.8 Build: 20250522.2
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0

Thanks for your report. I cannot reproduce. Can you provide a backtrace or is anything printed in the terminal if you start Kdenlive from a terminal ?
