SUMMARY
In x11, there was an option to disable apps remembering their previous size and position. this option does not exist in the wayland session. this memory feature is something a lot of people like, but I would prefer to just have my apps open at a consistent size and position on my screen. I run krohnkite and have it configured to allow turning the tiling on and off with a keybind, but because the apps remember being the size they were when they were tiled they are a very awkward size to work with when the tiling is off. This could probably be achieved using window rules, but that is a much too complicated and difficult to work with solution for most users (myself included, i'm kinda dumb).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. not really applicable here
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
apps remember their previous sizes and positions unless window rules are set up

EXPECTED RESULT
a setting in the window managment tab allows the user to disable this feature.

There's been some misunderstanding on what that setting ever did. Kwin isn't doing anything in the first place that we can disable.
