We need a DebugView trace to investigate. Please follow the instructions from :

Maik,

Talking about a similar problem on Reddit r/digikam channel, we seen that the problem only exists with the Qt6 version of digiKam, not the Qt5:

https://www.reddit.com/r/digiKam/comments/1lsc79o/missing_movecopy_menu_in_albums_view/

So i suspect a bug in the Qt 6.8.3 used by digiKam under Windows. An update of the framework to the version 6.9 need to be done for the next 8.8.0 release. For the moment we have bug stopper in VCPKG Microsoft package manager which block the update:

Hi Gilles,

I don't think this bug report is about the QMenu popup issue.
Apparently, tag assignment is started via the context menu above the image, but doesn't execute/stop.
I've also tested this on three Windows machines, but I can't reproduce the issue.

Hi Maik,

You are right. Well do you remember the bugzilla entry is relevant. if i'm right you have already tried to fix this problem few weeks ago.

johannes,

I tried to reproduce the issue with the current digiKam 8.9.0 pre-release without success.

Can you try the Windows installer available here :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

... to see is it's reproducible?

Best regards
