Must be fixed in next 8.7.0. Please test with the pre-release : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ This isn't a major issue if OpenCL isn't present. CUDA support is currently only available in the digiKam-8.7.0 pre-release. https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Maik Gilles was faster ((:-)) Maik Team I tried 8.7 and the OpenCL works but the info on face recognition get messed up and face detection options accuracy is not usable as well as face recognition Have you rebuilt the face training database, which is necessary with digiKam-8.7.0? What does "face recognition gets messed up" mean? Screenshots are very helpful. Cheers, Mike Created attachment 182192 [details]

confirmed faces error
Ciao Mike sorry for late answer. The meta data is not imported correctly as some of the people are outside of the right hierarchy, see image The second issue is that under the people I find hundreds of faces that are not correct as confirmed. See attached images Also almost every time I open digiKam the OpenCL is not recognized and I have to go - settings - miscellaneous - system - test GPU Ai and after is successful it get enabled >Also almost every time I open digiKam the OpenCL is not recognized and I have to go - settings - miscellaneous - system - test GPU Ai and after is >successful it get enabled
This behavior is normal, OpenCL test must be done manually (because of possible crash if it's on by default all the time). After that the user pass this stage, the settings must be on at next session.

If I close digiKam and open it again it is not enabled and I have to re do everything The test result must be positive, otherwise the option will be deactivated again. Maik (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #12) > The test result must be positive, otherwise the option will be deactivated > again. > > Maik yes the test is always positive as I wrote: -> enter -> test -> positive -> enabled -> close digikam -> open digicam.. --> status not saved, not enabled, have to re do everything Git commit b5b90a3234dcb062809e6dcfb22b59f49a020afc by Maik Qualmann. Committed on 24/06/2025 at 18:32.
