Version:           2.2.2 (using KDE 2.2.2)
Installed from:    Debian Package 4:2.2.2-13.woody.3 (3.0)
Compiler:          gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.2.20

Used as a file-manager, Konq. does not 'remember' the 'Multicolumn View' setting.

Possibly related to more general bug 13463.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Konq. as file-manager, and set MultiColumn View by clicking View / View Mode / Multicolumn View.
2. Browse a few folders (or do something else).
3. Close Konq. by clicking Location / Quit or by clicking the X button.
4. Re-open Konq. as file-manager.
5. Observe that Konq. has forgotten 'Multicolumn View' and is now in the default view.

Ideally, all user-specified preference settings should be 'sticky' and remembered betweem invokations.

You forget the "Settings/Save View Profile 'File Management'" step.

Thanks, Stephan. I would consider making some of these view-related settings
'sticky' so that the dummies like me don't forget to do the save. It would
be nice to see the app in the same way as you left it just before you last
logged out, without having to remember to save. Please consider.
