First, let's talk about your collection settings. While it's possible to add each folder individually as a collection, that's not how collections were intended. Why not just add "C:\Users\Tony\Pictures"? That would include all subfolders. Does digiKam mention hidden files in the status bar at the bottom of the folder where 103 files are supposed to be? Is it possible that the missing files do not have the correct file extension? Please check if there is a space at the end of these files. Please check if there is a space at the end of these files. > > Maik Hi Maik, Thanks again for your previous response and helpful suggestions. I wanted to provide a bit more detail based on your points: 1. **Collection Settings:** Regarding adding "C:\Users\Tony\Pictures" as a single collection, unfortunately, that wouldn't be suitable for my workflow. That root directory contains numerous temporary and working folders used by various photo editing software, which I wouldn't want included in my main digiKam albums. I specifically add individual folders that contain my finished images. 2. **Hidden Files:** In the specific folder I'm having trouble with ("HDR Merge"), I can confirm there are no hidden files. The folder currently contains 2 JPG files, 100 TIF files, and 1 empty subfolder. 3. **The Core Issue:** The problem seems to be that digiKam is failing to recognise the *new* TIF files that have been added to this "HDR Merge" folder *since* it was initially added to digiKam. The original files that were in the folder when I first set it up appeared fine, but any TIF files added subsequently are not detected, even after refreshing the album/collection. As mentioned before, they don't appear in the database either. Do you have any further ideas on why newly added photo files specifically within an already monitored folder might not be detected? Thanks again for your continued assistance. Best regards, Tony Tony, It useful to see the console trace while digiKam refresh the album contents where image are missing in icon-view.
