Unfortunately, this would most likely mean a complete re-write of the user interface. Given the small team and the important features still on the roadmap this will have to wait until a major overhaul of the UI is warranted for additional reasons. In the meantime, please look into customizing the Kdenlive workspace layout to your needs as much as possible. You can save the layouts and load them anytime depending on your steps in the production process. You can also adjust the toolbars (main and extra) to have the saved layouts at your fingertips.
