Created attachment 180605 [details] rectangle drawing actually started where the arrow is pointing, but it's impossible to tell 1- when using the typewriter tool, the rectangle being drawn is invisible because it's drawn in white - if the PDF has a white background, you won't see what you're drawing. This doesn't happen when using Breeze (light), where the rectangle is drawn in black instead. 2- possibly related: the tooltip that appears when selecting the typewriter tool (and possibly others), doesn't take into account color scheme changes that have occurred while Okular is open. If your theme is Breeze Dark, you have Okular open, and swith to Breeze light, the Okular UI refreshes fine, but that tooltip still appears as it would with the Breeze Dark theme (kinda).
