SUMMARY
Recently JetBrains ToolBox application stopped showing inside the system tray widget on Panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
I enabled auto-start for the ToolBox app, but I've noticed it's no longer appearing in the system tray widget, where it used to show up until now. When I manually launch the app, it opens, but its icon still doesn’t appear in the system tray.
I checked the system tray widget settings and the ToolBox app isn’t set to be hidden. In fact, it doesn’t appear in the widget settings at all, even though it used to.

This issue has been occurring for at least two weeks now.

Hmm, if it doesn't appear in the widget settings window, then it would appear the System Tray doesn't know about it.

The strange thing is that is was there in the system tray since forever, and it dissipated about two weeks ago. I'm not sure which update was released at that time, but it certainly affected it.

I found an older report for this in bug 491854 where the issue was determined to be caused by an MR in Kirigami, and was fixed.
This seems like a regression

This was also reported in bug 507815 which was marked a duplicate of bug 499892, which does describe the same thing. I'm merging this in with bug 499892, please follow that report for updates.
