Description bonirar716 2025-04-22 16:42:55 UTC
SUMMARY
Currently, opening a file in Dolphin under any mode (list, icon, compact) will cause the selection to be lost when the window of the program that associated with the file is opened and then return to Dolphin. This causes small inconvenience for people who wants to visit files in the folder in a specific order. The loss of focus makes it difficult to find out which file he/she just visited and thus cannot continue unless he/she remember the filename.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a folder with multiple files (say text files) with Dolphin
2. Open a file. The program (e.g. Kate) opens.
3. Close the program window and return to Dolphin

OBSERVED RESULT
The focus of the opened file is lost.

EXPECTED RESULT
The file remain selected upon return.

This seems reasonable to consider
