SUMMARY
The animation timeline docker no longer displays the controls for adjusting the start frame, end frame, framerate, or playback speed. This issue consistently occurs whenever I switch the workspace to an animation-focused layout. The only temporary workaround I’ve found is to fully close Krita and relaunch the program, which restores the missing controls, though the problem returns once the workspace is changed again. This behavior severely disrupts the workflow, especially when switching between different tasks or layouts is necessary during a project.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Krita software
2. Create a "New Image"
3. On the top of the software, press the "Window" Button
4. Change the workspace to "animation"

OBSERVED RESULT
The animation timeline docker is missing the buttons to set the start frame, end frame, framerate, and playback speed.

EXPECTED RESULT
The animation timeline docker no longer includes controls for adjusting the start frame, end frame, framerate, or playback speed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Additionally, while this issue might be influenced by the Krita UI Redesign Plugin, my research shows that this bug has been observed in multiple instances regardless of whether any plugins were installed or not. This suggests that the problem is likely tied to the core application itself rather than external modifications. Reports from other users also point to similar behavior in clean installations, which further supports the idea that the plugin is not the sole cause.

Hi there,

These setting exist within a pop-up submenu that you can access by clicking on the "hamburger" (three horizontal lines) button at the rightmost side of the Animation Timeline Docker's toolbar. You'll find it between the audio button and the docker detachment buttons. This should be visible in all workspaces, include the animation workspace.

Please let me know if you don't see it and we can re-open this bug.

Hi Emmet,

Unfortunately, the "hamburger" menu itself is one of the elements that’s missing from the Animation Timeline docker. I understand your suggestion might have worked if this were simply a case of me overlooking a UI element, but as I mentioned earlier, all controls and options within the docker are gone — including the start/end frame, framerate settings, playback speed, and even the menu button you're referring to.

I also tried enabling "Show Docker Title Bars" in hopes it might restore the missing UI elements, but that didn’t have any effect either. The issue persists consistently whenever I switch to an animation workspace, and the only way to temporarily restore functionality is by completely restarting Krita.

Let me know if you’d like me to provide screenshots or logs. This definitely feels like something deeper than a hidden menu.
