That's not a Breeze icon. I think you'll need to figure out where the icon does come from in order for this to be actionable. Can you do that? > Can you do that?
Okay, I guess it's time to pay the skill tax.
strace shows that icon is /usr/share/icons/oxygen/applets/22x22/audio-volume-medium-symbolic.svg. Whatever "-symbolic" is, I don't like it, it wasn't even a thing in the 2000s.
Fixed with "sudo rm /usr/share/icons/oxygen/*/*/*-symbolic.*" until next software update, I wish it was easily configurable.
Cool, I had a feeling this was actually an icon in the icon theme. Moving to Oxygen. plasma expect symbolic icons for systray icons. oxygen still as colorfull icons for actions icons (the ones used inside traditional qt widgets apps) historicly oxygen never had the systray icons, those used to be part of the plasma themes "recently" plasma decided to use symbolic icons for that... Oxygen just followed it as it has specific cororing features to allow thrming adherence... I undertand that some people want colorfull icons for the system try, feal free to repropose oxygen and simply create simlinks to the action ones, and maybe publish new version of oxygen... I would have no issue with a litle bit of software inside oxygen that would give that option to users.... if some one wants to do that i will aprove that on the git repo, maybe a small configure icon pointing to a setings ui on the oxygen icon theme option on system settings |

Install package oxygen-icon-theme (on Fedora 41) 2. Verify that it has colorful icons, for example /usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/22x22/status/audio-volume-medium.png has a grey-yellow speaker with lightgreen arcs (representing soundwaves) 3. Select Oxygen under systemsettings -> Icons. OBSERVED RESULT Some icons are probably from Oxygen, but volume control widget uses a monochrome icon, not sure where it comes from. In the screenshot, on the bottom: see volume control in the center. In the screenshot on the top: icons from /usr/share/icons/oxygen/base/22x22/status, for example audio-volume-medium.png in the center. EXPECTED RESULT Oxygen icons should be used.
