It has always worked for me but the newest version has the text missing for the undo button. Could it be with MATE, slight chance, perhaps, however, I have been using fedora MATE since it was available and always upgraded frome to the new release. It could also be an odd upgrade to Fedora 42, however, I really don't want to clean install.
