From the video and screenshot

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover and search for Blender (or another application with both snap and flatpak available that isn't installed).
2. Change the source dropdown from Flatpak to Snap

OBSERVED RESULT
The dropdown changes to a button, as is shown when there is only one source available

EXPECTED RESULT
The dropdown is still present and the user is still able to switch between sources

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0
Qt Version: 6.8.3

==============================================================================

In my testing, I'm not able to reproduce the bug, and I don't see the same behavior in Discover.

I'm able to switch between Flatpak and Solus (native package) multiple times
In Fedora 42, the behavior is the same.

In Neon Testing, Discover is configured to show individual entries for each source, so Blender has an entry for the deb and another for the snap
I see the same in Kubuntu 25.04

I'm able to see the drop down menu for source selection with VLC and can confirm the bug.
Comment 4 Martin Tlustos 2025-08-20 08:16:44 UTC
I can confirm the same problem in KDE Neon.
