Starting with a selected image (whether through Albums or People),
currently there is a screen to see assigned tags (Cations - Tags).

Please add something along the lines of "People" on the right pane,
that would show icons (similar size as faces in People screen), 
each with name text below it and some actions: move this face to Unknown / Ignored / Not a face,
and a text field to change to typed name.

When you open an image as a preview, you can display the faces either via the right-click context menu or in the overlay toolbar above the image. You can do anything you want with the face boxes in this bug.
There is a tab for People in the left sidebar.
