Often, when I am typing, I touch the touchpad, and then the pointer lands somewhere on the screen, and the text I typed is on the wrong place.

KDE has an option, but it has not effect (I can move the touchpad while typing, although the option "disable touchpad while typing" in touchpad settings (kcm) is activated).

Thanks for providing those details.

I was able to reproduce this on git-master on a laptop with an integrated Intel and dedicated nvidia GPU - only when typing on the external keyboard
- Typing on the internal laptop keybord does prevent the touchpad from moving the cursor
- Typing on a connected external keyboard does *not* prevent cursor movement from the touchpad

Are you using the laptop's built in keyboard when you see this bug?
