After starting Dolphin, switch to any folder and open tabs. > 2. Close Dolphin. > 3. Restart Dolphin. > > OBSERVED RESULT > Dolphin starts in 'Home' folder. > > EXPECTED RESULT > Dolphin should start with previously open folder and all previously open > tabs. > > SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS > Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 > KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 > KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0 > Qt Version: 6.8.2 > Kernel Version: 6.13.10-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) > Graphics Platform: Wayland Can confirm on Dolphin Version 24.12.3 Is that a typo in your Dolphin version? Operating System: KDE neon 6.3 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0 Qt Version: 6.8.3 Kernel Version: 6.11.0-21-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 502770 *** Even though this is apparently a duplicate of another bug report, it's status has been mis-marked as RESOLVED FIXED. Even after Discover distro upgraded Fedora from 41 to 42 a few moments ago, Dolphin 24.12.3 is still ignoring the 'Folders, tabs, and window state from last time' setting. I can still confirm Dolphin 24.12.3 continues to ignore the Folders, tabs, and window state from last time' setting even after Discover distro upgraded Fedora fro 41 to 42 nearly an hour ago as of this typing. The original reporter of this bug for Dolphin 24.13.2 I believe mis-marked this bugs status as RESOLVED FIXED since it's not fixed yet. Even after Discover distro > upgraded Fedora from 41 to 42 a few moments ago, Dolphin 24.12.3 is still > ignoring the 'Folders, tabs, and window state from last time' setting. The bug has been fixed in upstream code, and looks like it's scheduled for release in version 25.04 - https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/commit/6032b78512685dc7d6cc3754d536823d428525c4 is the commit to that version's code branch. Please reference https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting#Understand_what_the_resolution_statuses_mean - "RESOLVED FIXED means the issue has been fixed by KDE--even if the version that contains the fix has not been released yet, or if you are not yet using the version that contains this fix." *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 502770 *** |
