Before launching the terminal

SUMMARY
Since a recent update in Manjaro linux, the icon only task manager started to behave strangely.
I have my most recently used app as pinned icons. Let's say they are in this order, from Left to Right:
1. Dolphin
2. Terminal
3. Firefox
4. Mail
...

Now, if I click on the dolphin icon, the pinned icon is removed and moved to the right side of the icon manager, resulting in:
1. Terminal
2. Firefox
3. Mail
4. Dolphin

I can't drag and drop the icon to the left to leave it where it was, so the icon order is kind of random and disturbing.
If I close the Dolphin window, it'll go back to the most left position, whatever the initial position it had. (For example, if it was the terminal, it'll be in first position on the left, instead of the expected 2nd position).

Is there any reason for this behavior? There's nothing more irritating than a software randomly moving stuff around without reason.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. See above

OBSERVED RESULT
Icon moves randomly based on the order they are launched and killed.

EXPECTED RESULT
Pinned icon should stay where they were pinned.

Hi - can you please share what settings you have in place if you right-click on the task manager, choose "Configure Icons-Only Task Manager", and click on the Behavior page - specifically what is chosen for the "Sort" drop-down box and the "Keep launchers separate" checkbox?

Thanks!

Added the setup page I have. I have "don't sort" for the sorting rule (but tried with any value, doesn't make any change). I can't find the "Keep launchers separate" checkbox.

My mistake on the checkbox, that was from the Icons-and-Text Task Manager, sorry!

Just to double-check, does the same thing happen if you change "Do not sort" to "Manually"?

Does the issue occur with any of those pinned programs?

For what it's worth, if this is isolated to "Do not sort" then I think https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502465 may be relevant here.
