After writing this, I have noticed another problem where the screen doesn't turn off at all when I close the laptop lid. I'm not sure if these issues are related. I recall another bug around this recently, but I can't find it now. The setting for the screen lock timer is located separately in System Settings > Security & Privacy > Screen Locking. Could you tell me if you have this setting enabled? Ah! Thank you! Setting this to "Never" resolves the issue. However, I don't think this is the full story: - This setting is the same on my Desktop PC, but my Desktop PC has never locked its screen in all the time I've had Arch Linux and KDE Plasma installed onto it (~7.5yrs). - My laptop never locked its screen before a recently Plasma 6.3.X update, so I wonder why now it's changed its behaviour to respect this setting. I'm glad it's fixed! I'm going to mark this as resolved. While it is unclear how the setting became enabled, this appears to be a user configuration issue rather than a bug. |
