SUMMARY
While importing transactions, there is no ability to import Tags in the program.

Bank statement, with supplemented data with category, payee and tag.

What is the format of the data you are trying to import?  OFX, QIF, CSV, ....?
When you say "supplemented data with ..." do you mean you edit the downloaded file before importing?

I'm exporting my bank statement to a CSV file and then enriching it by adding a 'Tag' column with predefined values based on the description or remark in the statement. Additionally, I'm deriving the 'Category' and 'Payee' columns using the same criteria.  Similarly, I import Investment transactions as well.
